A comprehensive program of support to the social community worth EUR3m titled “We invest in European values” intended as a support to public health, higher education, disabled individuals and the environment was establishedin March 2006, when Eurobank became the owner of Nacionalna stedionica and thus positioned itself among top five banks on the Serbian market. These projects are part of the comprehensive corporate social responsibility programme that has successfully been implemented in Greece and in other countries in the region in which the Bank operates for years.

The “Eurobank EFG PARKS” programme forms part of this project which refers to environmental protection, installation of new green spaces and their rearrangement in central town zones throughout Serbia. Ever since the Bank established its presence in Serbia, Eurobank EFG has also granted 1,150 scholarships worth EUR1,000 each to best students of Serbian state universities.

In accordance with the global trend in environmental protection, Eurobank EFG has recently launched a campaign “I recycle paper – and you?”, in cooperation with cardboard factory Umka a.d., and now the old paper no longer used in Eurobank is not thrown away, but recycled and made useful. Out of use computer technology is recycled according to the same principle.
