The Eurobank EFG Group entered an agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), member of the World Bank Group.
The Eurobank EFG Group entered an agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), member of the World Bank Group. Under the agreement, the IFC will provide 125 million dollars to banking subsidiaries of the Eurobank EFG Group in Serbia and Romania, which shall provide financing to small and medium enterprises in these countries.
On 4 October 2010, the Eurobank EFG Group signed a similar agreement of 230 million Euros with the EBRD, for small business lending in Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia.
The Eurobank EFG Group has operated in these countries for many years and holds a dominant position in the local banking market, while it also operates at European level through the initiative of Vienna and other activities that aim to support local economies.
