Eurobank EFG is the winner of the “Golden Plaque for the company which marked the decade with CSR projects” award, granted by the Economic Journalists Club. Eurobank EFG has been rewarded for programs of responsibility where the Bank has supported a large number of projects and campaigns in the areas of education, public healthcare, environmental protection, integration of persons with disabilities in regular life and work, and culture.

The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister Mr Cvetković, Minister of Energy and Mining Mr Škundrić, the President of Republika Srpska Mr Dodik and other invitees, journalists and members of the business community.

Since its arrival to Serbia in 2003, Eurobank has rewarded 1350 best students of state universities in the country, reconstructed 8 largest public parks across Serbia together with local authorities, launched numerous programs of inclusion of persons with disabilities, invested EUR1 million in the latest PET technology scanner helping more efficient treatment of persons suffering from serious diseases, and become the grand sponsor of one of the largest Serbian theatres - Atelje 212. In addition, last year Eurobank launched two new CSR projects at the national level. Together with the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, the "Big Heart" MasterCard affinity credit card was launched for raising funds for the reconstruction of children’s kindergartens across Serbia. In cooperation with the Inclusive Society Development Center, the Bank also launched the "Moving Inclusive Museum", an exhibition of student design works, presenting items whose design is adjusted to use by persons with disabilities.

- The award for the company which marked the decade with its CSR projects encourages everyone in Eurobank EFG to continue with regular support to the local community. We have proven with this award that Eurobank is not only one of the largest investors in Serbia today and a large, systemic bank, but also that it gladly shares its business successes with the community where it operates, underlined Filippos Karamanolis, President of the Executive Board in Eurobank EFG.

The comprehensive CSR project of the Bank, "We invest in European values", was established in 2006. It is based on the five main pillars through which the Bank invests into most important social aspects: education, healthcare, environmental protection, inclusive society development, and culture.
