24 February 2014.
Belgrade, February 27, 2014 – Eurobank has been the general sponsor of the CSR Forum, a project focused on one of the major issues of today – degradation of the living environment, its pollution and exploitation. This Forum, aimed at engaging the youth and establishing a better environment for future generations, is organised by the International Association of Students in Economic and Commercial Sciences (AIESEC) in Serbia.
“By participating in projects aimed at raising environmental awareness among university and secondary school students, Eurobank confirms the premise that education of the youth is one of the most important traits of leaders in the CSR area. In debates on the best practices and challenges encountered in their execution, we have endeavoured to highlight that living environment is a responsibility of all, and that each individual and company can help resolve this hot social issue in their respective areas,” said Željka Ćirić Jakovljević, Corporate Communications Manager.
As confirmation of the results achieved in the area of environmental protection, Eurobank has recently obtained the first energy passport in the banking sector for its “Eurobank Centre“ office building in 10 Vuka Karadžića St, Belgrade. Furthermore, in line with the highest environmental standards, Eurobank has introduced measures that influence energy consumption in its business activities, such as the use of compact fluorescent bulbs, paper recycling within the “I recycle paper, what about you?” campaign, recycling of used IT equipment and education of employees on the importance of saving energy resources.
