Eurobank continues to support institutions for children and youth’s care.
Belgrade, July 30, 2015 - Eurobank continues to support institutions for children and youth’s care. The Bank representatives have donated furniture and office supplies to the Institute for Education of Children and Youth, Belgrade Shelter, which will be used for equipping children’s rooms and offices.
“As a socially responsible company, Eurobank pays special attention to the youngest. In the five years of the Big Heart project, implemented together with the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, we have invested efforts in making growing up of more than 8,000 children in state kindergartens across Serbia happier. We also wish to help the Shelter by refurbishing its living space,” says Dušan Mihailović, a member of the Executive Board of Eurobank.
The Institute for Education of Children and Youth cares for 400 to 600 children a year through the shelter, while at the moment this institution operates under lower capacity due to inadequate and small space. The Children’s Shelter accommodates children and youth between 7 and 18 of both genders on a temporary or permanent basis, referred by relevant social care centres, judicial bodies (court and prosecutor’s offices) and the Ministry of Interior bodies.
