Humanitarian “Big Heart“ project through best photos
”Big Heart“, one of the longest-lasting projects in our country, has marked another successful year with an exhibition of photos of the renovated kindergartens and schools. As a joint project of Eurobank and the “Ana and Vlade Divac“ Foundation, “Big Heart” has since 2010 supported 38 kindergartens and schools across Serbia, attended by around 25 thousand children. The exhibition of the best photos of the “Big Heart” project will be open for all visitors in the next 7 days.
Funds for the continuous donation are provided by Eurobank clients, more than 22 thousand of them, who use the “Big Heart” card and who have donated around RSD5mn for equipping and reconstructing kindergartens and schools. “We are proud of our Eurobank community of humane people who have been great support to the project execution. It is our joint wish to see the “Big Heart” project continued next year as well, because there are still kindergartens, schools and playgrounds waiting to be refurbished,” said Slavica Pavlović, President of the Executive Board of Eurobank.
The exhibition includes photos of the schools and kindergartens from the cities of Serbia which have been reconstructed within this project. In selecting schools and kindergartens, those attended by children with disabilities within inclusive education have been a priority.
“We have executed a great number of initiatives through activities of the “Ana and Vlade Divac“ Foundation, but “Big Heart” is one of the longest-lasting projects. For nearly seven years, we have been on a mission of providing children with better conditions for playing, education and upbringing through equipping and refurbishing parts of schools and kindergartens. These photos confirm that we should continue along that road,” said Ana Košel, Director of the “Ana and Vlade Divac“ Foundation.
“We are proud of such projects and we would like to thank the Divac Foundation and Eurobank for impressive results, which have helped improve conditions for upbringing and education of children in our kindergartens and schools,” said Miloš Blagojević, a special adviser in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia.
