For the end of the year, the project “Big Heart” brought joy and provided better conditions for playing and learning to children at kindergarten "Snežana", preschool “Naše dete” (Our Child) from Šabac and primary school “Jovan Cvijić" from Debrc.
Thanks to the funds raised by the affinity card “Big Heart” of Eurobank and the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, a new playground in the “Snežana” kindergarten was built and safer conditions for children’s outdoor activities were provided. The value of the donation amounts to over one million dinars. The implementation of the donation in Šabac was also contributed by its citizens by using the “Big Heart” Card and placed it at the second place by the largest number of transactions with a humanitarian card.
Students from the primary school “Jovan Cvijić” from Debrc will enter the new reconstructed classrooms next year, where laminate flooring has been installed, and painting and plaster works were done. Part of the roof of the school was reconstructed, and the value of the donation is more than RSD 800,000.“We are very pleased that we helped two educational institutions in Šabac and Debrc that have a tradition of more than a century. More than 22 thousand of our clients using the humanitarian “Big Heart” Card enabled us to be here today and together help children in the “Snežana” kindergarten get a playground where they will safely enjoy the game, and students of the primary school “Jovan Cvijić” new classroom
s,” said Zeljka Ciric Jakovljevic, Head of Eurobank Marketing and Corporate Communication Division.
At the donation event, the students were greeted by Ana Koeshall, Director of the Ana and Vlada Divac Foundation, a partner of Eurobank in the project.“For seven years in a row, Eurobank and the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation are helping schools and kindergartens throughout Serbia, creating the better conditions for children to learn and grow up. We are always pleased when we make the youngest smile, and that’s our biggest reward,”
said Ana Koeshall, Director of the Foundation.
Over the past years, Eurobank and the Foundation have renovated more than 40 playgrounds in kindergartens, a large number of rooms in schools and health institutions, with the aim of improving the conditions for growth and development of the youngest.
The card with a big heart - MasterCard "Big Heart" Card – is a standard credit card, but its ultimate goal is to improve the conditions for more careless growing up of children in Serbia. Citizens who opt for this card do not have any additional costs, but by using it, they contribute to an important human goal – the reconstruction of schools and playgrounds and the introduction of libraries into preschool and school facilities throughout Serbia.
