EUROBANK EQUIPPED THE ACCOUNTING CLASSROOM OF THE SECOND SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS IN BELGRADE
The fifth donation within Eurobank’s stand-alone project ‘A School Designed for You’ was executed in the Second School of Economics in Belgrade. The new IT equipment was provided with funds raised from transactions made with the ‘Eurobank Big Heart’ Mastercard affinity credit card. More than 1200 students of this school for future economy technicians and finance administrators can now study for their profession in a high-quality manner and in real-life conditions.
Eurobank launched the ‘A School Designed for You’ project in 2018, with support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, in the aim of providing students of secondary schools of economics in Serbia with improved conditions for learning. From each transaction made with the ‘Eurobank Big Heart’ Mastercard affinity credit card, the bank allocates part of its revenue for equipping and modernising secondary school classrooms. So far, more than 4.8 million dinars has been allocated for equipping and modernising five classrooms in schools across Serbia.
“I am exceptionally proud that we have continued with our stand-alone project in these challenging times as well, thus providing support to our education system when it is needed the most. We have equipped two classrooms with valuable IT equipment during the pandemic, which confirms our strategic focus on investing in youth and creating better conditions for work during their professional education. I am glad that we have enabled students of the Second School of Economics in Belgrade to obtain expert education they deserve, by working in real-life conditions and programmes used in a bank”, said Slavica Pavlović, president of the Executive Board in Eurobank.
“The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development is grateful to Eurobank for the support it provides to educational institutions by equipping and modernising classrooms in secondary schools of economics. Our shared goal is to improve conditions for work and learning in secondary schools across Serbia in order to enhance the educational system as a whole and invest in the future of our students. Digitalisation of the teaching process is in progress in all areas of the educational system and such support will mean a lot to both students and educators,” said state secretary in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development Zoran Kasalović.
Within its stand-alone ‘A School Designed for You’ project, Eurobank has so far equipped the statistics and accounting classroom of the First Secondary School of Economics in Belgrade and provided equipment for the electronic language classroom with a digital library of the Secondary School of Economics ‘Stana Milanović’ from Šabac. The donations were also executed in the Subotica-based Secondary School of Economics ‘Bosa Milićević’ and the ‘Đuka Dinić’ Secondary School of Economics in Leskovac, where students now have a modernised virtual bank classroom at disposal.
The ‘Eurobank Big Heart’ Mastercard card is a standard credit card with an additional humanitarian value, with a visual identity created by a student of the Secondary School of Arts in Niš. Every time you pay for something with this card or withdraw cash from an ATM with it, the Bank allocates a specific amount of its revenue for secondary schools across Serbia. Those funds are used for equipping and modernising classrooms. By continuous use of the Eurobank Big Heart credit card, we contribute to an important humanitarian cause – equipping and modernising secondary schools in Serbia.
