Bank rewarded in the category of social inclusion and environmental protection
Belgrade, May 9th , 2013 – At the event traditionally organised by the “My Serbia” Association, with support of the Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade, Eurobank has once again been recognised as one of the leaders in the area of corporate social responsibility.
In a decade of successful operations in Serbia, the Bank has reconstructed 10 parks in 8 cities across the country and supported numerous projects focused on the integration of persons with disabilities.
“We are very proud that the association which promotes CSR values has recognised Eurobank as one of the leaders in Serbia. For us, this is another confirmation of the NALED certificate we received last year, as the first financial institution in the country. Preservation of the planet, education of the youth, support to culture and healthcare, and improvement of living conditions for persons with disabilities are the values we follow in our business operations, as they are important pillars of our CSR strategy,” said Nataša Krstić, Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications in Eurobank.
Owing to the “Eurobank PARKS“ program, ten green oases across Serbia have been renovated, and through cooperation with the Inclusive Society Development Center (CRID), Eurobank has supported many projects that have provided much better quality life for persons with disabilities. In the partnership with the CRID in 2008, the “Rainbow Colours Park” was opened at Bežanija, the first park in the region for children and adults with disabilities, while last year Eurobank donated the first inclusive park in Southeast Serbia to the city of Pirot. In addition to the inclusive parks in Belgrade and Pirot, owing to this environmental project, green oases in Vrnjačka Banja, Belgrade (Botanical Garden and Wedding Park at Ada Ciganlija), Novi Sad (Danube Park), Niš (Čair Park), Požarevac (Sunny Park), Pančevo (Public Garden), and Jagodina (Teachers’ Faculty Park) have been renovated
