THIS IS THE YEAR OF GOOD DEEDS
Belgrade, January 27th, 2016 – Eurobank has started the year of 2016 with a new project, “Eurobank – Year of Good Deeds”, which gathers all the employees around humane campaigns – support to vulnerable social groups and promotion of togetherness and volunteerism.
This project of contribution to the social community, “Eurobank – Year of Good Deeds”, is designed in the aim of actively engaging employees , who will support marginalised groups and promote humanity and charity in a series of socially responsible activities throughout the year. Thus Eurobank wishes to send a message to the social community that good deeds do not require big financial investments; instead, each individual can allocate some time and minimal funds to those who need them the most and make them equal members of the society.
At the recently completed European Water Polo Championships, a number of employees donated their tickets and thus made happy members of various associations. Children and parents from the “Blue Shell” Association of Single Parents and Families of Children with Disabilities, “Living Together” Association for Support to Persons with Disabilities, “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj” Orphanage, “Children’s Shelter Belgrade” and best sellers of “LICE ULICE” street magazine.
The “Year of Good Deeds” project was launched at end-2015 with a volunteer action of painting the fence and refurbishing the yard of the “Biseri” Kindergarten at Palilula, and continued with a donation of books for the library of the “Boško Buha” Primary School, attended by children with disabilities, and distribution of New Year’s gifts for children without parental care in the “Milutin Filipović Jusa” Orphanage at Vračar.
