EUROBANK RECEIVES EBRD AWARD
The Trade Facilitation Programme (TFP) of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has awarded Eurobank as the most active issuing bank in Serbia for the fourth year in a row. Eurobank joined the EBRD’s TFP in 2011 and has been supporting its clients’ export and import operations ever since.
Nick Tesseyman, EBRD Managing Director, Financial Institutions said: “Trade finance is an essential part of fostering economic development and growth. It is our partner banks who make progress happen by providing the financial means that allow companies to explore and conquer new markets. The EBRD is proud to be associated with this and our award to Eurobank is an expression of our recognition and appreciation.”
“International trade and exchange are extremely important both for the Serbian economy’s progress and for our clients’ business expansion. That is why the EBRD’s award means so much to us—it proves our commitment to our clients. We are honoured that for the fourth consecutive year we have been recognised as a bank that promotes and drives international trade”, said Milan Vićentić, a member of the Executive Board of Eurobank.
Launched in 1999, the Trade Facilitation Programme aims to promote foreign trade. It includes more than 96 partner banks in 26 countries where the EBRD makes investments, with limits exceeding €1.5 billion per project and more than 800 confirming banks worldwide.
