Information on pension withdrawal with authorisation

In accordance with the new measures of the Serbian government regarding the ban of movement for people older than 65, Eurobank introduced special measures enabling this category of clients to use their funds (pensions).

The procedure is very simple. It requires a filled-in and signed one-time letter of authorisation by the account holder and his/her ID. With the authorisation containing all the required data –personal data of the account holder, as well as the amount to be withdrawn – third party (relatives, friends) are authorised to collect funds from the account. This service is provided for domestic and foreign pensioners, without any difference in the procedure.

An authorised person with a filled-in and signed letter of authorisation comes to the Bank to collect funds and presents his/her ID and the ID of the account holder. In order to prevent any potential irregularities, before the funds are paid out, it is checked whether the signature on the authorisation letter matches the one stored in the system, and also, the Eurobank staff calls the client on the phone number registered in the system in order to confirm the client’s intent, and the client is obliged to state his/her personal data and the data of the person with the one-time authorisation.

In this manner, Eurobank aims to meet demands of clients older than 65 who had not before authorised a third party for their account.
