- Eurobank equipped the computer lab of the Secondary School of Economics and Commerce ‘Jovan Trajković’ in Zrenjanin with 30 new computers, worth more than 1.1 million dinars. The donation is part of the Bank’s stand-alone ‘A School Designed for You’ project and funds were raised through the ‘Eurobank Big Heart’ Mastercard affinity credit card. The new computers will be of great assistance to the students of this secondary school in Zrenjanin, as they are necessary for training in virtual enterprises, finance and accounting, office operations, legal affairs, and e-business.
In addition to continuing to invest in improving the quality of professional education of future bank clerks during the coronavirus pandemic, Eurobank introduced another novelty this year: in cooperation with the ‘Laguna’ publishing company, a special discount will be provided for secondary school students purchasing books and gift program items in Laguna and Delfi bookstores in the cities where the Bank is making the donation.
‘Continuation of the execution of the ‘School Drawn for You’ project is very important for Eurobank. We continued to support the educational system during the coronavirus pandemic and provided new donations for secondary schools of economics across Serbia. With joint forces, support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and in cooperation with clients, users of the Mastercard affinity credit card, we continued the mission of improving the quality of education in our country,’ said Slavica Pavlović, President of the Executive Board in Eurobank.
‘Ensuring high-quality working and learning conditions is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development. Therefore, we strive to digitalise the system to a maximum and improve the educational process and conditions in our schools via various projects and in collaboration with partners. We are grateful to Eurobank for the support it provides to secondary schools of economics across Serbia and the new computers received by this school in Zrenjanin today will help students and teachers in mastering necessary knowledge and skills,’ said First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Branko Ružić.
‘We are glad that we are in a position to cooperate with socially responsible companies, which appreciate and respect educational institutions and are willing to invest funds in education. In that manner, they provide us with an opportunity to be even more successful and professional in ensuring high-quality education. We are committed to organising educational courses in this computer lab that will help our students become responsible, disciplined people, who will contribute to the development of their community and the society as a whole,’ underlined Dragoslava Golušin, Principal of the Secondary School of Economics and Commerce ‘Jovan Trajković’ in Zrenjanin.
In almost three years of the project ‘A School Designed for You’, Eurobank modernised six computer labs in five cities of Serbia by allocating more than 5.9 million dinars and providing more than 120 computers, interactive schoolboards, school furniture and other equipment.
The ‘Eurobank Big Heart’ Mastercard card is a standard credit card with an additional humanitarian value and a visual identity created by a student of the Secondary School of Arts in Niš. Every time you pay for something with this card or withdraw cash from an ATM with it, the Bank allocates a specific amount of its revenue for secondary schools across Serbia. Those funds are used for equipping and modernising computer labs in schools.
By continuous use of the Eurobank Big Heart credit card, we contribute to an important humanitarian cause – equipping and modernising secondary schools in Serbia.
